Rowena – Puppet Creation

There are several puppets that I’m going to need to create for this project. The first one I am focusing on is the character of Rowena. In the story, she is the narrator’s second wife and is described looking golden haired and blue eyed and a conventional English beauty.

I found a doll that matches the description and style I need perfectly. I needed to age the doll to fit the aesthetic usually found in this style. I soaked her in black tea for a few hours to give her a tannin stain and she was good to go.
