One of the exercises we worked on during class was identifying who our project is going to be for. I identified 3 groups of people that I think will enjoy interacting with my piece:

Interactive Media User

They are interested in using new technology in interesting ways. They are pushing forward the narrative that “games can be art” and are open to new experiences. They would be on at least the “ready to act” part of the spectrum. They would be inspired to try it themselves and would have the technical background to do it. Its independent of most other demographic signifiers.

Aesthete

They are interested in surrealist art. They are interested in it from the artistic side but might not be aware of the technology side or have even used a VR headset. They enjoy going to art museums and shows. This group also doesn’t have a specific demographic profile. They would be in the Ready To Hold an Opinion part of the spectrum. They might find it intriguing but might not have the technical ability to do it themselves.

Curiosophile

They likes to experience weird or unusual things. These people are more “fans” of unique experiences that use interesting materials or mediums in different ways. They most likely aren’t familiar with the technical side of the project or have an art history background in surrealism. They would be Ready To Know and would interact with the piece more as entertainment.
